Цель урока: Формирование коммуникативной компетенции учащихся

Основные задачи:

образовательные:

  • Совершенствовать умения и навыки практического владения английским языком по теме «Страны, национальности, языки» по всем видам речевой деятельности: аудированию, говорению, чтению.
  • Развитие памяти, внимания, сообразительности,  догадки и умения сформулировать и аргументировать свою точку зрения.
  • Развитие навыков употребления артикля «the» с названиями континентов, стран, городов.
  • Активизация страноведческой информации о странах и языках мира в устной речи.

развивающие:

  • Развитие умений коллективной деятельности (в рамках темы урока);
  • Развитие  умений работать в парах.

воспитательные:

  • Повысить интерес к изучению иностранного языка.
  • воспитывать стремление к познанию окружающего мира;
  • воспитывать потребность в расширении приобретении знаний.

 

Оснащение урока:
интерактивная доска, аудиозапись, тексты для чтения, карточки с грамматическим  заданием.

I.  Приветствие. Объявление целей урока
-Good morning, boys and girls!
— How are you?
— We are fine, thanks.
— Sit down, please.
I am sure, you are ready for the lesson. Welcome to our talk about countries, nationalities, cities, sights. Today we’ll revise your knowledge of using the article ‘the’. We will practice your reading and listening skills. By the end of our lesson you’ll be able to answer the question why do people all over the world learn English, why English is very important.

II.  Фонетическая зарядка
Now, I want you to prepare your tongues for the lesson.
Listen to the list of places and repeat them after the tape (36, ex. 8).

III. Речевая разминка
— Now boys and girls, I want you to listen to my statements and agree or disagree with me. If my statement is true, you will repeat it, if I am wrong, you will correct my statement.
(Ученики повторяют утверждение если оно верное, и исправляют если неверное.)

Corners
Students, you have some cards with words and word combinations on your desks.
Everyone should choose one card.
Think and write down the name of the country which is associated with these words.
Look around the classroom.
Find the corner with the name of the country that you’ve written.
Stand up, please. Push your chairs under your desks.
Go to this corner, please.
Now I want you to explain your choice to your partners. Why did you choose this corner?  Each of you will have 20 seconds.

IV.  Совершенствование навыков чтения с извлечением необходимой информации
The great German poet Goethe once said: «He who doesn’t know foreign language, does not know his own one»
People of different nationalities speak different languages. But many people all over the world know English. Why do people around the world learn English?
You will be able to answer this question after the next task.
You have to read texts about different reasons for learning English and make a list of these reasons.
You’ll work in groups. You’ll have 5 minutes for doing this task. OK. Let’s begin.
Time is over.
Now you should make other groups.

Numbers «onexxxx0187 form one group, numbers «two» form another group and so on. And now you should listen to each other and make one list of reasons for learning English.
You’ll have 5 minutes for this task.
Now let’s speak about the reasons of learning English. I want to listen to you in turns.

V. Развитие навыков аудирования .  Listening
I see that you are tired a little bit. So let’s have some rest.
You know that there are many countries in the world and so many cities in one small world! Let’s watch the video and listen to the song about some of them and about the people living there.

1) Before listening let’s practice the pronunciation of some words. Listen and repeat after me.

VI . Совершенствование  навыков употребления артикля «the» с названиями континентов, стран, городов

So students your homework was revising the rules of using the definite article and thinking of one question about it.
And now it’s time for Quiz-Quiz-Trade.
Do you remember the rules of it?
You should write your question and the answer for your question.
Now, you should fold your sheets of paper where the answer is.
Stand up, please, push your chairs under your desks, move and stir in the classroom.
Then, you should raise your hands and find a partner near you. You should greet your partners and then ask your question.

Don’t forget to help your partner if he or she has some problems with the answer for your question.
Then you have to answer for your partner’s question and exchange your cards. And then you should find another partner.
OK. Let’s start.
